Over the last few months, I’ve been wrestling with a stubborn case of artist’s block. It’s not fun when the ideas feel stuck, but one thing that helps me is leaning into my sketchbook practice. Lately, I’ve been looking to other artists who openly share their sketchbooks, and it’s been encouraging to see how they keep showing up on the page. 

October isn’t just pumpkins and costumes—it’s also one of the most creative months of the year. From Inktober to Peachtober, Bloomtober, Birdtober, Drawlloween, Inktober in the Garden, and Calmtober, there’s a challenge for every style and mood.

The best part? You don’t have to stick to just ink. Try paint, clay, sewing, or mixed media—the prompts are all about sparking ideas, building routine, and boosting creativity (with a healthy dose of mental wellness, too).

February is for love! And, I love to cross stitch, so the project I'm sharing today is absolutely perfect...at least in my eyes! Hopefully, in yours too. So, you may remember that in December, I shared how I created a cross stitch pattern from Jennifer's "Joy" artwork. Well, we wanted to create another cross stitch design for Valentine's Day, so we sorted through some lovely pieces of artwork and found this gem below.

Tell me I'm not the only one that goes to wrap their holiday gifts and realizes that I have run out of gift tags and stickers. I mean, how can I run out when I feel like I buy them every year?! Well, that's not happening to me again. This year, I'm printing out a few sheets of these printable gift tags and I'll be ready to wrap!

In this digital age of virtual happy hours, electronic invitations, and emoji texts, it’s nice to know that there is still tangible, handwritten stationery that arrives in our mailbox. Thank you notes are the perennial paper product. Whether its for a wedding gift, sympathy flowers or donation, we sit down and handwrite a special note to thank the sender for their thoughtfulness.
